Meet Justus

Feeling Lost to a Life of Purpose

Justus grew up facing the harsh realities of poverty, with his parents unable to afford his school fees. He often felt like a "nobody," unsure of his purpose in the world. However, through the support of He Is the Remedy, Justus was sponsored to finish his education and is now proud to work within the very organization that changed his life. His journey from struggling with self-worth to becoming a vital part of the ministry is a testament to the power of hope, education, and community.

Meet Loyd

Witnessing the Power of Transformation

Loyd, a concerned community member and friend of He Is the Remedy, watched as many of the local youth fell into cycles of idleness, drugs, and crime. With no sense of purpose, some were even stealing to feed their addictions. But through the ministry’s work and the saving grace of Jesus, these young individuals have found hope, purpose, and valuable employment. Loyd has seen firsthand how He Is the Remedy has helped homeless youth find homes, return to school, and secure meaningful work, transforming lives and revitalizing the community.

He is the Remedy Team- Foot Outreach 2024 - Kenya

Our first food outreach of 2024 was a huge success

TRUTH

A portion of last years maize harvest plus, sugar, tea, rice, green grams, cooking oil, bathing soap, sanitary napkins, deworming pills and multi-vitamins along with bags of clean and in good condition second hand clothes were taken to two communities in West Pokot. Our team had previously visited this area and met with a local pastor as well as the area chief and confirmed the people of this area were in desperate need of food relief. This area of Kenya is dry and arid and not good ground for agriculture. They have not been receiving enough rain for maize or other vegetables to grow to maturity. Maize is like money. No maize is the equivalent of no money in the bank. A good maize harvest can sustain a family until next years harvest. This community has not had a descent maize harvest in 7 years.

Our team shared food with 1000 families, visited 3 schools providing deworming medicine and multi-vitamins to more than 500 young children and delivered cases of sanitary napkins to a girls junior high school. In secondary boarding school, (high school), sanitary napkins are a required item for female students to have. Not so in junior high. School fees are difficult enough for families to raise, the additional cost of sanitary napkins can be impossible. Junior high girls ages can range from 11 to 15 and even older. Some familes cannot afford to send their children to school consistently resulting in older children in lower grade levels. Lack of pads causes delimes we can't even imagine in the US. Girls miss a week of school every month or worse they do unthinkable things for a few dollars to buy napkins so they can attend school. Neither option is acceptable! No doubt this breaks Gods heart.

God grew our young evangelist team during this outreach. Some had never spoken publicly yet they preached the word of God boldly. Some had never been outside their own village and were crushed by the weight of poverty and oppression in the lives of their own countrymen. Some had never prayed for others but they quickly learned that the Holy Spirit in them is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all we ask or think. Eph. 3:20

Food Out Reach Kenya Ministry

People came with an interesting aray of containers to receive their portion of cooking oil. Plastic bottles, bowls, multiple small empty water bottles and even a teapot. Pretty much anything that they could carry oil home in.

Your prayers and financial support are what makes these events possible. We are aware of the craziness going on in the US and globally. We also know we serve a God who is greater than all of the corruption, sickness, broken economies and craziness. People are still hurting, hungry and in need of a Savior. We know that your financial support comes at a sacrifice and we are extremely humbled and honored that you continue to choose to partner with us. Asante sana!

Rural Kenya- He is the Remedy Ministry

Together we can make a difference for the Kingdom of God!

He is the Remedy has a main objective of discipleship. To disciple new and young believers there must first be a relationship. Food outreaches, football, farming and job creation, weekly bible studies and devotions, and building homes, these "works" put us and our team in relationship with others. Some who don't know Jesus, some who have been fed a false teaching, some new believers and even some long time "believers" who have never been given the opportunity to meet Jesus. To disciple we first need to know them and that takes intentional effort on our part. We disciple our team so they can disciple others and that is how the Kingdom of God grows. Matthew 28:19-20

He is the Remedy Christian Outreach Ministry

Each day of food outreach ended with an evening crusade. So many people came forward for prayer. Our team was grateful for the volunteer interpreters as the people of this area only speak Pokot which is their mother or tribe tongue. Many do not even speak Kiswahili the national language. Questions such as "what does it mean to be born again" and "how can I know Jesus" were asked. Sadly, these questions came from people who regularly attend a local church.
