Sharing the Hope of Jesus

Bringing hope through evangelism, food outreaches, and compassionate service.

Who We Are

Transforming Lives Through Faith & Service

LIVING THE GOSPEL EVERY DAY

As the young men of He is the Remedy have grown in their faith, they've developed a passion for helping others experience the same hope they found in Christ. Today, they travel throughout Eldoret and the surrounding communities, building relationships, praying with families, sharing the Gospel, and meeting practical needs wherever they can.

Whether providing food, delivering mattresses to families in need, or simply spending time encouraging someone who feels forgotten, they believe the love of Jesus is best shared through both word and action.

From Eldoret to Turkana

The mission doesn't stop in our own community. Throughout the year, our team travels to Turkana, one of Kenya's most drought-stricken regions, bringing food, sharing the Gospel, and encouraging communities that often feel forgotten.

Every outreach reminds us that God's love knows no boundaries, and neither should ours.

Transformative Impact

FROM DISCIPLESHIP TO DISCIPLE-MAKING

The greatest success of our ministry isn't measured by numbers—it's seeing lives transformed and then watching those same people become the hands and feet of Jesus. Many of our outreach leaders once needed hope themselves. Today, they're praying with families, encouraging communities, and serving others with compassion because someone first invested in them.

The Gospel doesn't stop with one person—it multiplies through lives that are willing to serve.

Beyond the Field:

< Evangelism and Church Planting >

Our football program does so much more than just teach the game; it opens doors to new possibilities and brighter futures. For many of these young men, football became the key that unlocked their potential, guiding them away from the challenges of idleness and substance abuse. Through the values of discipline and faith, they found a sense of purpose and belonging.

Now, with the support of He is the Remedy, they’re using their experiences to reach out to others, leading the BLAST Evangelical Outreach team and helping more youth discover the hope and stability that comes from a life rooted in Jesus.

But their journey didn’t stop there. The relationships and lessons learned on the field have blossomed into something truly special—a community church in Chebaiywa, where faith grows and thrives. These young leaders are giving back in ways they never imagined, sharing the love and support they received through food programs, kids’ camps, and other initiatives that bring joy and strength to the community. It’s a beautiful cycle of giving, where the blessings they’ve received are now flowing out to touch the lives of others.

“Football gave me a reason to get up in the morning. It brought me into a family where I felt seen and supported. It helped me realize that I could be more—that I could lead, grow, and give back to my community.”

Walking Miles for the Gospel: A Season of Deep Faith

October 25, 20252 min read

Dear Family and Friends,

We love sharing updates on the wonderful and amazing things that God is doing in and through our ministry. This season, we’ve witnessed transformation that reminds us why we serve—a reminder that God’s Word never returns void.

Our young men are walking miles, sometimes five or more each way, just to share the Gospel. Dicklaerk and Festus, two of our dedicated evangelists, have teamed up to reach young men who are struggling with addiction and poor choices.

One such young man, Rono, used to hide from them whenever they came near. But their persistence and love broke through his fear. Today, Rono waits for them, sometimes perched up in a tree, eager to hear them read the Bible. Though his journey is ongoing, his transformation has already begun. Please continue to pray that Rono will come to know Jesus fully in his own heart.

Shifting Seasons in Ministry

As many of you know, we’ve stepped away from the football (soccer) sponsorship program. What began as an incredible tool for sharing the Gospel became overshadowed by corruption and misplaced priorities.

We saw firsthand how football, though once a bridge, had become an idol for some—pulling men away from their families, integrity, and faith. Even so, we remain proud of how far our team came, finishing three years with only one red card.

Now, God has redirected our focus. We’re leaning into evangelism through farming, outreach, and direct discipleship. The young men who chose ministry over football have grown tremendously in their walk with Christ and are bold, Spirit-led sharers of the Gospel.

Through Trials, His Light Still Shines

We won’t sugarcoat it, this year has been deeply challenging. We’ve faced betrayal, gossip, threats, and resistance to the message of Christ. Yet even through persecution, we are learning that the attacks we face are not against us, but against the light of Jesus within us.

Our faith has been tested, but never shaken. We hold fast to the belief that when the enemy pushes hardest, it’s because God is preparing something big.

The Land Campaign: Building for Generations

Our Land Campaign remains active. We believe this may very well be the “big thing” God is preparing. This land will be a foundation for ministry and community transformation in Kenya, a home for discipleship, worship, farming, guest housing, and outreach for generations to come.

We’re deeply grateful for those already walking with us in this vision. If you feel called, please consider joining us in prayer, in giving, or by sharing our mission with others.

We are truly grateful for your prayers, your friendship, and your unwavering support. Even if we haven’t met in person, we count you as family in Christ.
